5 Tips for Designing a Functional Home Office
The original kitchen of this home in Grapevine had an older style countertop, dark cabinetry, and a plain pantry door. The clients had such a fun outlook on the project, and wanted a more modern take on their home. We painted the cabinetry surround white to brighten the space, painted the island cabinetry a dark color to create contrast, and replaced the pantry door with a modern style. Adding a waterfall polished countertop to the island really draws the eye. That paired with the leather surrounding countertops create a beautiful contrast.
Years down the road we got a call back because the wood flooring had water damage from the dishwasher and sink that were original to the house. Rather than demo and reinstall their beautiful wood floors we added a sleek black tile in a cascading style that gave the kitchen that fun modern flare that we loved for this home.
